Private Executive is committed to ensuring that your personal details are respected and protected. In this section we explain how this is protected.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

Who we are and what we do:

We sometimes need to collect your personal information so that we can provide you with the full range of our services, operate London's private hire network effectively and carry out our statutory functions. 

Service messages and marketing

If you are currently receiving service messages or marketing communications from Private Executive and no longer wish to do so, please let us know by emailing [email protected].

Sharing personal information

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We don't share your personal information with any third parties unless they are providing services to us under contract or disclosure is permitted by, or required by, law.

DISCLOSURE PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES

The personal data of users is only disclosed to those drivers who have activated the PrivateExecutive driver app; in such case, they will see the name and geographic location of the booking. The driver will be able to contact the user only through our office, once they have confirmed the journey, they will not be able to view the users phone number.

After the journey, the name of the user along with the trip will remain visible to the driver for 24 hours. This is necessary for drivers to resolve any issues associated with the journey, e.g., to contact the customer through selecting to do so in app if something was left behind in the car. At no point will the phone number of a passenger be disclosed to a driver without the passenger’s consent.

Any feedback on the quality of the service is anonymous and drivers do not receive information on the names and telephone numbers of the users who provided feedback.

PrivateExecutive may disclose personal data to our third-party service providers, who may be in countries outside of the EEA, subject to contracts with those third parties. These may include IT: INSOFTDEV, GODADDY or payment services providers PAYPAL, STRIPE or verification and authentication checks providers and Amazon Web Services.

We may also share personal data with local licensing bodies, law enforcement, for legal reasons or if there is a change in ownership if our business or assets.

PASSENGER PERSONAL DATA RETENTION

Your personal data will be stored as long as you have an active passenger account. If your account is closed, personal data will be deleted (according to the policies set out in this section) from the databases, unless such data is required to be retained for accounting, dispute resolution or fraud prevention purposes. This follows that:

Booking records will be retained for 12 months as per the PHV Operator license requirements.
Journey history data will be stored for 3 years, after which the data will be anonymized.
Financial data regarding transportation services provided to passengers will be stored for 3 years after the last journey.
If there are suspicions of a criminal offence, fraud or false information having been provided, the data will be stored as long as necessary according to the internal, legal, and regulatory requirements. In case of payment disputes, data will be retained until the claim is satisfied or the expiry date of such claims.
Please note that the deinstallation of PrivateExecutive app in your device does not cause the deletion of your personal data.
Personal data is processed in order to provide the service contracted with passengers. We collect and processes the personal data submitted by the passengers during installation and use of the PrivateExecutive app. The prerequisite for the use of PrivateExecutive services is passengers agreeing to the processing of identification and geolocation data.

If you would like to delete the personal data collected by us, please submit a written request to our customer support via [email protected] After receiving the request we will delete the account if there are no outstanding payments or as required for legal reasons. After account deletion the associated personal data will be anonymized.

How do you protect my information?

We only use your information in order to fulfil our obligations to you and for administration purposes.
We will only disclose sufficient information to our drivers and sub-contractors in order that they can provide the service requested.
We will never sell or disclose your information to a 3rd party except where required by law.
We use a top-of-the-rage website security certificate from GoDaddy in order to protect your personal details.
Our staff only have access to the information that is required to do their job.

What type of information do you collect?

  1. Any information that you submit into a form may be collected and stored by the web or database server in order to create the bookings and to provide the best possible service.
  2. In common with most websites, we automatically collect certain information about your computer in order to analyse how our customers use our website.  This information includes your IP address and the details of your web browser.
  3. E-mail and communications with the site are archived until no longer required.
  4. We collect data about journey statuses, time and passenger ratings from driver feedback to encourage user safety, promote compliance with our terms and conditions, and make sure we’re providing a quality and enjoyable service to everyone.
  5. Customer support data and correspondence is collected for the purposes of feedback and resolving disputes and service quality issues.
  6. Record of any requests for your information made by law enforcement.

Do you use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are required in order to provide interactive functionality such as logging in and preparing quotes or to create bookings.

What information do you send me?

  1. Emails generated in the course of your use of our website such as booking confirmations.
  2. Emails keeping you informed on the progress of your booking.
  3. SMS Text messages to inform you the progress of your booking.
